What Should I Expect at My First Visit?
Your decision to start orthodontic treatment is a commitment to your smile and your future. The effects of a strong smile have a great impact on your life as it is the first thing people see when they meet you. Your first visit with our office determines the course of your treatment, so we want you to know what to expect when you visit our office.
After scheduling your consultation, we ask that you complete a simple registration packet to allow us to begin to build your records. We provide these forms below for you to download, fill out and bring with you to your first appointment. By completing these before you arrive, we can begin your appointment on time and keep you on schedule.
If you unable to download or bring these forms with you, we have a kiosk computer in our office where you can complete the registration. Please come 15 to 20 minutes early if you plan on completing these in the office, so we can get you started on time!
What Happens During My First Visit?
Your new smile will begin with a free consultation! After registration, one of our professional dental assistants takes you back into the clinical area of our practice to give you a short tour of our office. We want you to be comfortable and feel at home in our practice.
From here, we begin to build your records with a series of photographs Dr. Baloul uses to plan the perfect treatment for you and your lifestyle. After reviewing these images, Dr. Baloul performs an examination that helps her assess your smile and bite. Once she has all the information needed, she can develop a specific plan to achieve the smile you have always wanted.
Following your evaluation, Dr. Baloul goes over her recommended treatment plan at our office. She goes over all your options, as well as the financial arrangements available to you. We want you to completely understand your orthodontic care and want you to ask as many questions as needed to make you feel comfortable with your care.
How Long Does the First Visit Last?
The first visit typically lasts no more than an hour to complete. Once we go over the entire process and financial aspect of orthodontics, and you decide to pursue orthodontic care at Elegant Orthodontics, we schedule your first appointment to begin treatment. We also take a 3D rendering of your smile to accurately plan the movement of your teeth.
